Can beginners come? Is it safe?
Absolutely! We were all beginners once just like you! We intentionally create an environment that is very relaxed and welcoming by encouraging our students to go at their own pace. We do our best to offer modifications throughout class so that postures are as accessible as possible for all students. You can read all of our class descriptions on our schedule page to find the classes best geared for beginners. Please don't hesitate to ask one of our team members to help find the right class for you! If you have any special concerns, please let your teacher know before class.
What exactly IS "Hot Yoga"?
Our 'hot' and 'warm' classes are practiced in a heated room with temperatures ranging from 85-102 and elevated humidity levels. This heated environment promotes extreme sweating which helps eliminate the body of toxins. The increased heat helps to improve the muscular and skeletal systems by allowing deeper stretching throughout the postures, increasing blood and oxygen circulation, and building strength from head to toe. Hot yoga is a wonderful practice for healing old injuries or preventing new ones. Additionally, we are the only local studio that reaps the benefits of state of the art infrared heating panels.
I'm not interested in 'hot' yoga, is there something else for me?
Absolutely! We offer just as many non-heated yoga + pilates classes at both locations!
What do I need to bring?
A yoga mat (we have mats you can borrow, but we recommend bringing your own), a large towel, bottled water (we have these for sale) and clothing that you feel comfortable moving and sweating in. No shoes or socks please. Be sure to eat at least 2 hours before class to avoid any discomfort. Most importantly--HYDRATE!
Do I need to reserve a spot?
We don't require reservations--however, we do operate with a fantastic system of online reserving. By reserving for class you are guaranteed a spot. If you wish to just show up without a reservation you are more than welcome to..we just can't guarantee there will be space.
What if I can't even touch my toes?
Then this is DEFINITELY the place for you! We practice yoga so that we CAN become more mobile and flexible in our muscles and joints. It's NEVER too late to begin practicing yoga!
Will I be sore afterwards?
We create a lot of healthy change in the body through yoga + pilates so feeling sore or tired after class or the next day is not uncommon. The medicine for this is hydration, rest and without a doubt returning back to class within few days to continue stretching + strengthening your body!

Download Zoom on your device. You do not need to create an account though!
All you need is your wellness living login credentials
At the time of class click the Zoom links in your booking confirmation email
Make sure you have great internet connection
Turn off as many internet devices in your home as you can to strengthen your signal
Have a second device to play your own music on if you wish. Music will not be streamed by us
At Rising Om Yoga Betton we offer over 1,750 SF of space to roll out our yoga mats! We have 2 unique rooms: Prana and Shanti. Our Prana Room is our "hot" room offering 750SF. The Shanti Room is beautifully spacious at 1000SF and hosts all of our non-heated classes, workshops & teacher trainings.
At Rising Om Yoga Bannerman Crossings we offer a gorgeous clean open yoga space of 900 SF w/ high ceilings & large windows inviting ample natural sunlight. Both heated & non-heated classes are offered in this space.

Infrared Heating Panels
Infrared, or radiant heating, is simply the transfer of heat from a warm object to a cooler object. The heat is a product of a completely safe spectrum of light that is invisible to our eyes
Our radiant heating products are safer and healthier than traditional forms of heat
Reduces dust/emissions – Unlike forced air heating systems, our infrared radiant heating panels do not blow dust or allergens. They do not release any emissions, chemicals or pollutants and help keep the air clean and clear.
They allow us to safely and properly regulate the temperature in the room for the duration of each class, minimizing fluctuations in temperatures.

Zebra Yoga Flooring
We use top of the line Zebra Yoga Flooring in our heated yoga rooms. They are an easy to clean, water proof non-slip resistant surface that provides sure footing for students’ optimum safety when holding difficult positions or landing out of inversions and joint sensitive poses. Our 1 meter by 2 meter half inch Zebra Tiles provides shock- absorbing cushion for less stress on the body and less risk of injury.
The open cell construction does not expand or contract regardless of temperature. It won’t buckle in high temperature or high humidity environments. The tatami textured vinyl surface with heat sealed corners does not absorb water nor stay wet like carpet, and is specially designed to allow for moisture evaporation, preventing fungi, mildew and bacteria growth.
Zebra Tiles assist in retaining heat and humidity in our studio. Zebra flooring also does not release particles, filaments or harmful out gases like carpet, providing a dust-free, less toxic and hypoallergenic environment.
Infrared Health Benefits
